v0.145.4Internal beta docs

Beta documentation · eXLib v0.145.4. Public release is pending.

Compatibility & Audition

Use the Library's property-kind filters to find likely matches, then Audition an expression against your actual After Effects composition. The former Verified badge was removed in v0.145.0; current versions do not award or display expression verification badges.

How to check compatibility

The Selected property filter in the Library and Compatible toggle in the Compact panel narrow results by property kind. They do not check whether every layer or effect named in an expression exists in your composition.

What changed in v0.145.0

The expression-row validation dot, Author's Verified field, and the post-Audition offer to record a badge were removed. Use packs and tags to organize expressions and Audition to check their behavior in context. Existing verification fields may remain in saved metadata; they are not a current badge or workflow.

This historical screenshot shows the retired badge. It is retained to help readers of older beta documentation identify what changed; it does not show a control available in v0.145.4.

Audition in your composition

Choose Audition from the Library row or the IDE toolbar, or use its assigned shortcut. Audition runs against the selected property or the active tab's pin, reports AE's verdict and sampled value, and restores the property's original expression. See Non-destructive Audition for the target and restoration rules.

What a successful audition tells you

A successful result describes that expression on that target at the evaluated time. It is not a promise that every frame, composition, dependency, or different property will behave the same way. Check the actual targets and time ranges your project uses before applying changes.
